How to fill out the WhatsApp Activation form Take Blip July 05, 2021 14:45 Updated The process of launching your contact/chatbot to WhatsApp Business API starts with filling in the activation form! Make sure you have received an email from the implementation team with initial directions. These guidelines, necessary for activating the WhatsApp channel, are sent by email to organizations that already have a Blip plan after the initial contacts of the Onboarding team. Below is a step-by-step guide to filling out the form you received by email: 1. Selecting the chatbot ID Access the Blip Portal In the BLiP paying account, you must create the chatbot in which we will activate the WhatsApp channel. For this, click on “Create chatbot” or on “Create router” according to your needs. Set, in advance, which bot architecture you will use, that is, define if the chatbot will have human assistance so that you can choose the correct template. If you have already created the chatbot before, just collect the ID. To collect the ID, access the chatbot where the WhatsApp activation will take place. The ID is right below your chatbot's name: 2. Collecting the Business Manager ID To activate WhatsApp, you must inform the ID of the Facebook Business Manager (Facebook Business Manager or BM) of your company. The Business Manager is a platform created by Facebook that allows you to manage all your Facebook tools (Instagram, Ads account, etc) from one place and the Business Manager ID is different from your Ad Manager ID. In the Business Manager, you must collect the ID in the “Company Information” menu, as shown below: Accessing the Business Manager Access your page account Click on “More Tools” Click on "Business Settings" A new tab will open in your browser. Select the company you want to see information from the drop-down menu that appears in the upper left corner: After accessing the correct company, go to the "Company information" menu and copy the ID that should be used when filling in the field: Accessing the Business Manager from the Ads Account: Access your page account Click on “Ads” Click on “Show more details in Ads Manager” A new tab will open in your browser and you should click on the "Tools for companies" icon in the upper left corner, and then on the "Business Settings" option: On the next screen, access the Business related to your company: Then, access the “Company information” menu in the lower left menu. The ID that must be entered in the form appears at the top, next to the company name: If the company does not have a Business Manager: Access https://business.facebook.com/overview/ and click on “Create account” On the next screen, fill in the form with your company information. We suggest that you read this article to be assertive in filling in these fields. The account name must match your company's Corporate Name or Trade Name. Inform your name and your business email. After creating the Business Manager, access your account and select the “Business Settings” option. Then, access the “Company information” menu in the lower left menu. The ID that must be entered in the form appears at the top, next to the company name: 3. Contact name on WhatsApp API This is the name that will appear publicly on WhatsApp, making it even more evident if your account becomes an official contact. ATTENTION: when setting the contact's name on WhatsApp, it is ideal that the chosen name is the company name, as Facebook will validate if there is similarity between the company and the chosen name. If the name chosen is, for example, the name of a product, brand or sector of your company, it is likely that it will be necessary to open a ticket with Facebook to prove the relationship between product/company and this may make the process longer. To open this call we will need evidence, which can be: certificate of registration of trademark (INPI), website that evidences the relationship between product/company etc. Also check out Facebook Guidelines for Display Names on WhatsApp API. 4. Contact number on WhatsApp API Now, you must enter the full number that we will activate in your chatbot: country code + area code + number (for example: +55 11 9 9999 9999). What numbers are allowed on WhatsApp Business API? Landline, national, mobile and up to 1 800 numbers. For the chosen phone number to be activated on WhatsApp API, there are two prerequisites: The number needs to be enabled to receive an SMS or international call. If there is an IVR enabled, at the time of activation it will need to be temporarily disabled or have the calls redirected to another extension where you can answer and receive the call with the Facebook/WhatsApp authentication code. What if the number is already on the WhatsApp Messenger or WhatsApp Business apps? Upon activation, it will be necessary to delete the account, following the guidelines in the Phone Number Migration section. Important: During the WhatsApp activation process on Blip, the number informed will receive a 6-number token via international call or SMS. We will not trigger this call without your consent, so you will always be asked to schedule a meeting with the implementation team after the data is already released by Facebook. By default, 1 800 numbers do not receive international calls – so, if you want to use it, you will need to go through some procedures with your operator to enable this option. Tip: Choose a number that already has a link to your company's brand. This way, customers will find their contact easily. 5. General company information Employer Identification Number (EIN): the same as the contract with Take Blip must be filled out. Trading name: name by which the company is known Company Facebook Page: possibly will be analyzed by Facebook to validate the company's brand/public presence The Company’s website: will be used at the time of the Company Verification on Facebook Business Manager and is one of Facebook's analysis criteria for validation Once the form is filled out, our team will proceed with the creation of your company's WABA (WhatsApp Business Account). Don't worry, we will send you an email with the next steps and the channel activation period is approximately 20 business days.
