How to connect - Microsoft Teams

Before including the advanced settings, publish the bot!

1. Account sign in and download Microsoft Teams. https://products.office.com/pt-br/microsoft-teams/group-chat-software 

2. In left menu, click in "Applications". Search App studio and click in Add.

3. Create bot on App Studio. Find option (...) in left menu.

  • Fill required fields and save the generated password, it will be necessary for integration with Blip.
  • Homologation: Bot endpoint should be https://hmg-abs.gw.msging.net/ [ACCOUNT EXTERNAL ID]
  • Production: Bot endpoint should be https://abs.gw.msging.net/ [ACCOUNT EXTERNAL ID]
  • Configure the scope as needed. Checking all the options will make the bot become a human contact in teams.

Connect the bot that was created on Microsoft Teams with Blip.

  • It’s necessary add some parameters in advanced configuration in Blip:

💡 Domain must be postmaster@abs.gw.msging.net

  • AccountExternalId: bot external identifier. Find in App details menu.

  • ApplicationId: bot communication id. Find in Bots menu.image-5.png
  • ApplicationPassword: password generated on bot creation.
  • AudioSentence: it’s the sentence that will show when the user receive a audio sent by Blip.
  • DocumentSentence: it’s the sentence that will show when the user receive a document sent by Blip.
  • GifSentence: it’s the sentence that will show when the user receive a gif sent by Blip.
  • VideoSentence:it’s the sentence that will show when the user receive a video sent by Blip.
  • WeblinkSentence: it’s the sentence that will show when the user receive a weblink sent by Blip.
  • TextButton: it’s the sentence that will show in button when the user receive any media sent by Blip.

4. Download created bot in menu: Finish > Test and distribute.

5. Import the downloaded file. Image below shows where is option.

Supported Elements

The elements below behave equals on Blip.

  • Text;
  • Emotion;
  • Image;
  • Composing;
  • Carousel.
    • If you want use payload, only application/json is accepted.
    • If you not want use payload, choice weblink or only text title.
    • Carousel supports 10 cards per message.
  • Menu.
    • The menu do not position your buttons vertically. Microsoft Teams fill all horizontal space to break line.
    • If you want use payload, only application/json is accepted.
    • If you not want use payload, choice weblink or only text title.

Not supported Elements

The elements below are not supported.

  • Location.

Adapted Elements

The elements below are not supported natively. A adaption was necessary for a better user experience.

  • Vídeo;
  • Áudio;
  • Document;
  • Quick reply;
  • Weblink.

These elements will send in same model below:

  • Obs: button opens the media content was sent.
  • Obs2: sentence that will show will be the same configured in Blip.

Quick reply behave equals menu, where options do not hide after user choice.
